About Art Hannigan
"I'm not a politician. I'm a neighbour who loves this community and wants to see it thrive for the next generation."
My Story
Rooted in North Frontenac
I've lived in North Frontenac for [X years], and in that time I've watched this community grow, struggle, and come together time and again. I've raised my family here. I've driven the same rough roads, dealt with the same service gaps, and seen the same issues come up at council meeting after council meeting — without resolution.
That frustration turned into determination. I realized that caring about your community isn't enough — you have to show up for it. So I started asking questions, attending meetings, and talking to neighbours in Plevna, Snow Road, Cloyne, and across the township. What I heard was consistent: people want better roads, they want to know where their tax dollars go, and they want a mayor who picks up the phone.
Before entering this race, I [describe your background — work, community involvement, relevant experience]. That experience taught me [key lesson relevant to municipal leadership].
I'm not running to make a career out of politics. I'm running because North Frontenac deserves a mayor who is genuinely invested in the outcome — someone who will still be here after the votes are counted, living with the same decisions everyone else lives with.
"Our township is small enough that every vote matters and every voice counts. That's exactly why I'm asking for yours."

What Drives Me
My Core Values
Community Before Self
Every decision at the council table should put residents first — not re-election, not personal relationships, not inertia.
Plain, Honest Talk
If something isn't working, I'll say so. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out and report back. No spin.
Do What You Say
Promises made during a campaign should become actions after election day. I will report publicly on every commitment I make.
Respect for Place
North Frontenac's Shield landscape is irreplaceable. Development and stewardship must go hand in hand.
Community Involvement
Connected to This Community
Over the years, I've been involved with [list organizations, committees, volunteer roles — e.g., local fire department, community centre board, Frontenac Parklands, local church, school council, etc.]. These experiences gave me a ground-level understanding of how services work — and where they fall short.
I'm also an active member of online community groups including local Facebook pages where I've been raising issues, answering questions, and listening to residents long before this campaign began.
